About this equipment
The Micro-Smart is Cattani's compact inverter-controlled aspirator. The inverter lets the unit hold a set suction level rather than running flat out, which is quieter in the surgery and easier on the motor.
Three suction levels are selected from a remote keypad (70 / 100 / 210 mbar) and a display shows the working parameters, so the vacuum at the chair can be matched to what the clinician is doing rather than fixed by the machine.
It comes complete with an ISO 6 amalgam separator built into the suction route, so the practice does not need a separate separator on the chair. Cattani rates the unit for one surgery, with two chairs possible where the workload is lighter.
It is a good fit for a practice that wants a modern, electronically controlled suction unit in a small plant space. It is not a plug-and-play appliance: it needs an engineer to install and commission it.
